Bitcoin Knots is a fork of Bitcoin Core that adds user-configurable policy options and enhancements not yet merged into the upstream project. It includes more fine-grained transaction filtering (including controls for spam and non-standard transactions), additional RPC options, and user-centric improvements favored by technical users who want more control over what their node accepts, relays, and stores. Like Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Knots operates as a full node, validates every transaction from genesis, supports Tor, and provides a descriptor-based wallet with watch-only support. Maintained by Luke Dashjr. Available on Windows, macOS, and Linux (multiple architectures including ARM and RISC-V). Open source on GitHub.
