Privacy-focused Bitcoin desktop wallet forked from Wasabi. WabiSabi CoinJoin by default, mandatory Tor, and hardware wallet support. Not available to US users.
Ginger Wallet is an open-source, non-custodial Bitcoin privacy wallet for desktop, forked from Wasabi Wallet in 2024 after Wasabi's default CoinJoin coordinator was shut down. It implements WabiSabi trustless CoinJoin with automatic privacy by default — no manual configuration required. All network traffic routes through Tor automatically, and blockchain data syncs via compact block filters (BIP157/158). Hardware wallets are supported via HWI for standard signing (direct coinjoining with hardware wallets not yet supported). Coordinator fee is 0.3% for amounts over 0.03 BTC; smaller amounts and remixes are free. Available on Windows (10+), macOS (12.0+, Intel and Apple Silicon M1/M2), and Linux. Deterministically reproducible builds. Note: not available to US citizens due to regulatory uncertainty. Fully open source on GitHub.
