Under the hood, Muun uses submarine swaps to route Lightning payments. Security is built on a 2-of-2 multisig model: one key on the device, one encrypted key in the Emergency Kit (a printed backup). Recovery is fully possible via the Emergency Kit without any server dependency. Muun provides a built-in mempool-based fee estimator and full PSBT-compatible key export via the Emergency Kit for maximum self-sovereignty. Open source on GitHub. Available on iOS and Android.
